It was Who Killed the Electric Car. This car that GM made in late 1990's was called the EV1. (Electric Vehicle 1).

The car could drive around 100 miles on a charge, and with a new battery that came out close to 200 miles. It was faster than many V6 powered cars and very reliable. GM only allowed people to lease the car and did it because California required some Zero emission cars. Later after CA caved in GM took all the cars back from the owners and CRUSHED THEM ALL! There is only 1 left for a museum but GM ripped out the power train. This amazing movie really tells a tale of greed of GM, Oil Companies, and the weakness of the California Goverment. Compared to what is on the market today this car is still ahead of its time. If have not seen the movie, rent it, you will be amazed.

Move Site Click Here Also See EV1.org
