Tahquamenon Falls in the Upper Peninsula ROCKS as a winter tourist attraction. It was an out-of-this-world experience when we caught sight of the roaring falls, the mist, and the surrounding river banks. I wonder why it's not advertised more during the winter season? My husband and I love visiting the falls during all seasons.

Here is a photo I snapped a couple of months ago. And here is a link if you want to see the photo enlarged:

Thank you for this contest.

Hi NanL,

Welcome to the forums.

If your photo is larger than 300x300 you should be able to upload it. The site will size it down automatically.

Thanks,
Patrick

I have several large maple trees growing in our yard. One spring day after a warm rain, I was walking around the yard and saw these fungi. I just had to photograph them and then I digitally enhance the picture.

Thanks Pat. I have an eye for that kind of art-- I used to travel around Michigan in the 1970's and take tintypes of people dressed like their ancestors and develope them onsite.
